A note on SG’s listing

SG’s description says Grade 4 English willow, but the listing’s web address reads “grade-3”, and the description text is identical to SG’s Sierra 250 listing. The grade isn’t shown until SG’s listing is consistent.

Care & preparation

A new English-willow bat needs knocking in before it faces a hard leather ball; the store offers machine knocking.
Keep the bat dry and out of heat (a car boot in summer, a damp kit bag).
When the bare willow looks dry, give it a light coat of bat oil; too much oil adds weight.
